About Jenni
I believe that music and the arts are for everyone, and that creative practice can be a powerful tool for social change.
I am an arts access and inclusion consultant and creative producer with 20 years’ experience designing participatory arts programmes that support wellbeing, connection and creative expression.
From 2011 to 2023 I was a founding Director of Soundcastle, a charity using creative music-making to support wellbeing and community connection for marginalised communities. During this time I designed and delivered programmes supporting families in social housing, families with disabled children and adults experiencing mental ill health.
These programmes were developed from initial concept through to long-term provision and included programme design, fundraising, evaluation and partnership development.
Alongside producing programmes I have continued to work as a music facilitator, creating music collaboratively with communities and individuals who face barriers to participation. I have worked with disabled children and adults, people living with dementia, people experiencing mental ill health, families and early years children, and many others whose voices deserve to be heard.
This hands-on experience informs my consultancy work and helps me support organisations to design programmes that are both ambitious and genuinely accessible.
Training, Teaching and Professional Practice
Alongside consultancy I provide training in accessibility and inclusive practice for arts organisations, practitioners and educators.
I designed and delivered a Level 4 Certificate in Inclusive Practice for Music Educators at Bristol Beacon and have trained practitioners and staff working with disabled young people in creative approaches to music.
I am also a guest lecturer at the Royal College of Music, supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students in entrepreneurship and project design.
My wider practice includes consultancy, programme design, facilitation, mentoring and training, all shaped by a long-standing commitment to access, inclusion and creative participation.

My Approach
True inclusion is about creating environments where people feel safe, welcome, supported, and celebrated for who they are, where they are, and what they have to say.
My work is guided by my professional experience and my lived experience of neurodivergence. I explore access and inclusion from inside and out, unpacking and analysing how the small details of event and venue management, leadership, communication and programme design can make big differences in how we reach, engage and celebrate the full range of human experiences.
This perspective offers a comprehensive, creative and solution-focused approach in my consultancy and training. I support organisations to develop practices that are thoughtful, flexible and genuinely responsive to the needs of the people they work with.
